Frank Su was born in Shanghai, China in 1959.He has loved drawing since he was a little boy. He had received a good and systematic art education and training starting at the age of 10.Between 1983 and 1987, he studied in the oil masters' class held by the Chinese Artists' Association. He had received an artist's diploma. Between 1990 and 1992, he studied in the Department of Fine Arts at the Texas Christian University where he had received a master's degree of fine arts.

Frank had held many personal exhibition in the United States, China, Japan, Germany, etc. His works are collected by many major museums, art galleries and individuals. In addition, he had attended many major city and international exhibitions and contests and had won several awards. Frank is not only engaged in portraits and landscape paintings, but is also engaged in murals. When he was 27 years old, he completed two large murals at the Shanghai Gymnasium. His murals works are also seen in some of the churches in the United States.
